This page contains a listing of alternative themes for Eterm along with screenshots showing you what each theme looks like while running. There are several themes supplied with the Eterm package, but their purpose is more to illustrate functional possibilities rather than graphical possibilities. (This is partially due to space concerns and partially due to the fact that I can't design graphics to save my life.) :-P Installing new Eterm themes is easy. If you don't already have a $HOME/.Eterm directory, make one. Also create $HOME/.Eterm/themes. Then cd into that directory and untar the theme tarball you downloaded. For some themes, you will also need to symlink $HOME/.Eterm/pix to your system-wide pix directory (usually /usr/share/Eterm/pix or /usr/local/share/Eterm/pix). Once you have done this, simply specify the name of the theme on the Eterm command line using the -t or --theme option. For example, if you install the nIx theme, run Eterm -t nIx. It's that easy. :-) |
